Our members work together to make lasting, positive change within local communities.

Why join us?

Our membership programme is optional, and you do not have to become a member to access our fully funded services. Instead, by joining Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance, you will become part of a wider community of local organisations who share similar values and want to make lasting, positive change within local communities.

To ensure that our membership programme is accessible to all organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire, we do not charge for membership. This is because we strongly believe that we are Better Together and are passionate about building an accessible and inclusive community of local organisations who are committed to:

  1. Championing the VCSE sector as a tool for positive social change;
  2. Developing a thriving and connected VCSE sector in Gloucestershire;
  3. Amplifying the voice of VCSE organisations and local people and communities; and 
  4. Building a fairer, more equitable Gloucestershire for local people and communities.

Membership benefits

We have two membership categories, one for VCSE organisations and one for statutory organisations. Below is a list of our current membership benefits:

VCSE membership

Organisations that are eligible for VCSE membership include charities, un-constituted groups, village halls & community buildings and volunteer-led organisations. As a VCSE member you will:

  1. Be able to access our free online Funding Directory (opt-in required).
  2. Receive a copy of our exclusive member-only newsletter (opt-in required).
  3. Be able to advertise your organisation on our online Member Directory (opt-in required).
  4. Receive early-access booking emails for selected training courses and events (opt-in required).
  5. Have access to exclusive member-only networking opportunities and events.
  6. Be able to use our digital member badge on your website and wider communications.
  7. Be able to showcase your work and demonstrate your impact via our communications.
  8. Have access to our new member-only area and resources kit on our website (coming soon).

Statutory membership

Organisations that are eligible for Statutory membership include the NHS, local county & district councils, the police, and parish & town councils. If you're unsure whether you're organisation is eligible to join Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance, please do This email address is being protected from spambots. As a statutory member you will:

  1. Receive a copy of our exclusive member-only newsletter (opt-in required).

  4. Be able to use our digital  member badge on your website and wider communications.
  5. Be able to showcase your partnership work with the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire via our communications.

Membership criteria

We welcome applications from VCSE and statutory organisations of all shapes and sizes in Gloucestershire. To become a member, we ask that your organisation is:

  1. A VCSE or statutory organisation delivering services in Gloucestershire;
  2. Open to working in partnership with VCSE organisations; and
  3. Open to working in partnership with statutory and private sector partners.

What happens next?

Once we've received your application, we will process your membership form and you will receive your welcome pack shortly afterwards. On occasion, a member of our team may need to contact you to clarify information on your form before sending your welcome pack. We aim to process membership applications, and get back to any applicants that we need further clarification from swiftly.
