Terms and Conditions of Booking
These terms and conditions apply to all individuals or organisations booking to attend training events (“Events”) organised by Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By booking a place at one of our events, you agree to the following:
1. Eligibility
We offer free-of-charge events for individuals employed by or volunteering for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations delivering services within Gloucestershire. This includes:
- Registered charities
- Charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs)
- Voluntary associations
- Faith-based organisations
- Community groups and forums
- Tenants' and residents' associations
- Sports clubs or arts groups (run on a not-for-profit basis)
- Unincorporated associations
- Community interest companies (CICs)
- Community benefit societies (BenComs)
- Co-operatives with a social purpose
- Charitable trading arms
- Non-profit companies limited by guarantee
- Foundations and grant-making trusts
If you are from an organisation that doesn't fit within our eligibility criteria, please add yourself to our waitlist. If we have spaces available (or a space becomes available for courses where we have activated a formal waitlist), we will contact you prior to the event to let you know. You can add yourself to our waitlist by completing our Waitlist Application Form.
2. Maximum bookings per organisation
To ensure fairness, we ask that no more than two tickets per event are booked per organisation.If you would like to book more than two tickets, please contact
3. Booking and confirmation
We generally use Eventbrite to issue our event tickets. Those wishing to attend our events must provide all of the required information to be guaranteed a ticket.
If you are booking tickets on behalf of someone else, you must ensure that the information that you provide us about them is correct. We cannot be held liable for inaccurate or incomplete information.
On completion of the booking form, you will be issued an e-mail of confirmation from Eventbrite. Please check your junk folders and let us know immediately if this is not received.
4. Waiting lists
When an event reaches capacity, our waiting list will be activated. Priority will be given to organisations from VCSE organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire when allocating waitlist spaces. This is done on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. Cancellations
Our courses are very popular, and there is often a waiting list. If you’re unable to attend one of our sessions, we respectfully ask that you let us know as soon as you can so that another organisation can benefit from the place. Cancellations can be made via Eventbrite, or by emailing
We maintain a record of individuals and their organisations who do not attend our events without prior notice. We reserve the right to refuse bookings from individuals who have failed to attend two courses over a twelve-month period without providing prior notice.
6. Event changes and cancellation
We reserve the right to change the speaker(s), venue, or content of the event where necessary. We will endeavour to notify you at least three days prior to the event where possible.Exceptionally we may be required to cancel an event. When this happens, we will notify you as soon as possible. We are not liable for any costs incurred (e.g. travel or accommodation).
7. Accessibility and special requirements
We aim to make our events accessible to all attendees. Please inform us of any accessibility, dietary, or other special requirements at the time of booking.
8. Data protection
We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Event Attendee Privacy Notice. By booking, you agree to be contacted with information about the event and relevant updates.You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by e-mailing
9. Code of conduct
All participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully. We reserve the right to remove any attendee whose behaviour is deemed disruptive or inappropriate.For online events, we ask that attendees do not bring “meeting bots” (AI-powered software tools used to record notes) to our events due to attendee consent and confidentiality. Our team will endeavour to restrict entry to meeting bots, and we reserve the right to eject them without prior notice.
10. Limitation of liability
We accept no liability for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property arising from participation in the event, except where caused by our negligence.
