Our Story

We've been representing and supporting charities and community groups in Gloucestershire for over 10 years.

We were initially set up and funded by Gloucestershire County Council to share information from the public sector and to explore potential partnership working opportunities, by representing our sector at meetings. As our organisation has evolved, we have remained agile and responsive to the needs of a changing VCSE sector landscape. In 2025 we launched our new Strategic Plan for 2025-30.

Partnership work

We continue to focus on developing equal partnerships with VCSE organisations in Gloucestershire. We also continue to embrace our close working relationship with Gloucestershire County Council, the NHS Gloucestershire ICB and other statutory sector organisations. We strongly believe that we are Better Together and that relationship building and cross sector working is an integral part of creating a strong and sustainable VCSE sector in Gloucestershire.

Championing the VCSE sector

We recognise that, despite facing unprecedented pressures on capacity and funding, local VCSE organisations continue to provide high-quality, vital services within our communities. We aim to harness the power of community to reduce health inequalities by ensuring that our sector is well-resourced and empowered. As an infrastructure organisation, we are committed to ensuring that our services support a fast changing dynamic VCSE sector in Gloucestershire.

Showcasing the value of the VCSE sector

More recently, we've extended our support to enable local VCSE organisations to use our communications platforms to showcase their work and demonstrate their impact. We do this in a range of ways, such as sharing news & announcements in our newsletters & mailings, publishing data & insights about our sector, and by sharing guest blogs and 'sector stories' on our news pages and in our News Bulletin

Work with us

We're always looking for new ways to collaborate and work in partnership with colleagues from the VCSE and public sectors, as well as local business. If you're interested in working with us and would like to explore this in more detail, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
