Funding for: projects that enhance the lives, development and achievements of children and young people through high-quality arts-based learning activities.  
Who can apply: arts and cultural organisations working in partnership with educational settings. 
Funding priorities: applications are welcomed from organisations led by people most impacted by oppression, including racism, ableism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and/​or transphobia.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund  

Funding amount and term: up to £150,000 spread over three years. 
Funding for: to support young people who face complex transitions to adulthood.  
Who can apply: groups and organisations supporting disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 25 years of age. 
Funding priorities: applications are particularly welcomed from organisations led by people most impacted by racism, ableism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and/​or transphobia. 
Any other information: grants can be for young people who face challenging situations such as being in or out of education, care settings, housing, prison or youth detention accommodation.

Persimmon Homes Community Champions fund 

Funding amount and term: from £1,000 to £6,000. 
Funding for: good causes in the community. 
Who can apply: local groups, sports clubs, schools, hospices and charities which have already raised vital funds themselves.

Poppy Fund – Cost of Living Grants 

Funding amount and term: unclear. 
Funding for: basic financial costs. 
Who can apply: Armed Forces community of individuals and organisations.

Reaching Communities  

Funding amount and term: £20,001 upwards for up to five years. 
Funding for: projects that help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need, including hard to reach communities. 
Who can apply: voluntary and community organisations.  
Funding priorities: projects which support places, people or communities experiencing poverty, disadvantage or discrimination, and which meaningfully involve communities in steering the project.  .

Severn Trent Community Fund 

Funding amount and term: applications can be made for small (£2,000-£20,000) or large (£20,000-£100,000) grants – different criteria apply for each. 
Funding for: projects that support community wellbeing and link to people, place and the environment. 
Who can apply: not-for-profit organisations, CICs, foundation schools, colleges or academy trusts and statutory bodies – including local authorities, town, parish or community councils in the Seven Trent region.  
Funding priorities: new projects that cover all three key elements of community wellbeing - people, place and environment.

Support Adoption for Pets Grant programme  

Funding amount and term: from £250 upwards 
Funding for: the rescue and rehoming of UK pets. 
Who can apply: organisations whose main activity is rescuing and rehoming animals. 
Funding priorities: as above. 
Any other information: funds can help with vet bills, boarding fees, trap and neuter schemes, food, equipment, vehicles and building work.

Take It Away Scheme 

Funding amount and term: interest free loans of up to £5,000. 
Funding for: the purchase of musical instruments and equipment. 
Who can apply: the scheme is open to all though applicants must have an annual income of £5,000 or more.  
Funding priorities: as above.

Tesco Stronger Start Grants   

Funding amount and term: up to £1,500.  
Funding for: school-based projects that provide healthy food and snacks for pupils and equipment for indoor and outdoor activities.  
Who can apply:  schools, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations. 
Funding priorities: projects that provide food and support to young people.

The 7Stars Foundation 

Funding amount and term: up to £2,500. 
Funding for: projects supporting young people, aged 16-years-old or under. 
Who can apply: charities. 
Funding priorities: aimed at children and young people who are surviving abuse, at risk of, or experiencing homelessness, caring for a loved one, and challenged by addiction (either personally or through a member of their family). 
Any other information: the trustees meet four times a year.

The Art Fund – the Jonathan Ruffer Curatorial Grants Programme

Funding amount and term: small grants of up to £2,000 and large grants of over £2,000. 
Funding for: travel and other practical costs to help curators undertake collections and exhibition research projects in the UK or internationally. 
Who can apply: all UK-based curators, museum professionals and researchers.

Any other information: there are two deadlines a year for large grants. No fixed deadlines for small grants.

The Association of Independent Museums’ Training Grants programme 

Funding amount and term: up to £350. 
Funding for: training and development costs. 
Who can apply: member museums. 
Funding priorities: smaller museums, staff members and volunteers that have not previously received a training grant.

The BFI National Lottery Screen Heritage Fund 

Funding amount and term: the BFI’s National Lottery Funding Plan 2023 to 2026 is allocating £7.9m of National Lottery funding over three years. 
Funding for: support to enrich screen heritage collections, better represent diverse communities and make screen heritage available to the public. To also help under-represented groups access the support they need to develop their careers and skills.   
Who can apply: organisations working in the UK screen heritage sector. 
Funding priorities: there are three funding strands - project funding, organisational skills funding and individual skills funding. See the web link above for more details.

The Cotswold Heritage and Environment Fund 

Funding amount and term: up to £2,000.

The Educational Opportunity Foundation  

Funding amount and term: from £30,000 to £90,000, available for one to three years. 
Funding for: projects centred around care-experienced young people (under 25 years old) with the aim of improving their educational outcomes and life chances. 
Who can apply: UK registered charities with an income normally between £25,000 and £2.5 million. 
Funding priorities: funding is between 25% to 100% of the total project costs, but preference will be given to projects with some degree of matched funding.

The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust 

Funding amount and term: up to £35,000. 
Funding for: for the rehoming and rehabilitation of animals in the UK. 
Who can apply: smaller animal charities. 
Funding priorities: charities involved in active re-homing and rehabilitation policy for animals taken into their care, or who are involved in wildlife conservation.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation Charity Grants programme 

Funding amount and term: small grants of up to £5,000 and large grants from £10,000 to £60,000 for up to three years. 
Funding for: babies and children up to five years; children affected by domestic abuse or requiring special educational needs or who have disabilities; plus people with dementia and their carers.  
Who can apply: small grant programme - charities whose annual income is between £25,000 and £500,000; large grant programme - charities whose annual income is between £500,000 and £5 million. 
Funding priorities: early years, special educational needs and disabilities, domestic abuse and dementia.
