The Voluntary Sector Mainfesto

NCVO describes this document as a “tool for all of us in the sector to use to set out our collective and brighter vision for the future".

The brand new Gloucestershire’s Volunteer Awards shone a light on volunteers across the county during a heart-warming ceremony at the Growth Hub in Gloucester last week.

Almost 150 guests (including local volunteers and their families) were warmly welcomed to a beautifully decorated atrium and ceremony hosted by Steve Knibbs from BBC Points West.

CandO: Connect and Offload

Gloucestershire’s new mental wellbeing helpline ‘Connect and Offload’ (or CandO, pronounced ‘Can Do’, for short) has now been officially launched.

CandO has been designed to provide support when someone first notices signs and symptoms of their mental health worsening.  It is open to any adult (aged 18+) in Gloucestershire who is experiencing issues with their emotional wellbeing, such as low mood, anxiety, stress and loneliness. This includes support and advice for individuals seeking help with self-harm, allowing them to receive the support they need, alongside wider support for overall emotional wellbeing.
