Gloucestershire Resource Centre (GRC) is a creative re-use charity. Rescuing waste resources from local business across Gloucestershire, we collect, sort and process these surplus materials which would otherwise be destined for incineration.
These unusual and high-quality materials are made available in our Scrapstore, providing low-cost resources to schools, nurseries, childminders and community groups, as well as families, individual artists and crafters alike. We have a team of volunteers who help us run the project with the aim to promote re-use and sustainable alternatives whilst supporting play & creative opportunities throughout the county.
GRC also owns the building (an old shirt factory) that the Scrapstore operates from and provides rental space for 14 other organisations, as well as an art room and dance studio available for hire.
