Originally founded in 1988 to protect the industrial heritage of Stroud and its five valleys, Stroud Valleys Project work with community groups and volunteers, helping, inspiring and training them to discover and nurture our local wildlife and green spaces.

We provide meaningful opportunities for people to get involved in environmental improvement and community building. We reach out to young and old, as well as to those who may have been isolated by age; low income; low levels of employment or education; limited literacy or language skills; or disability.
