We're delighted to announce that VCSE sector groups & organisations across Gloucestershire will be able to continue to receive free health & wellbeing support via The Wellbeing Line until 2025.

After a successful 6-month pilot, followed by an extension in late 2023, we are continuing our partnership with The Wellbeing Line so that the sector can continue to access this service.

We're looking for a Head of Strategic Partnerships to join our team. The purpose of this new role is to strengthen the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire by identifying opportunities for strategic partnership working and developing & supporting partnerships to work together effectively.

Our aim is to position the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire to be on the 'front foot' when it comes to commissioning. We want to do this by developing collaborative partnerships that will attract inward investment and provide a viable model for local commissions.

We're absolutely delighted to announce the launch of Gloucestershire's Volunteer Awards.

Gloucestershire’s Volunteer Awards celebrates and recognises the outstanding contribution of volunteers within our county. Our Awards shine a light on volunteers from a range of backgrounds and life experiences who are making a difference within our communities.

In a recent report by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) 77% of people surveyed felt that they improved their mental health and overall wellbeing through volunteering in some capacity (NCVO, Time Well Spent Report).

In December 2023 we invited representatives from VCSE sector groups and organisations in Gloucestershire to our first 'Conversations for Change' co-design session.

'Conversations for Change' aims to enable staff members within VCSE sector groups and organisations in the county to open up conversations with individuals about health improvements they can make. Recognising that this can be challenging, we are working in partnership with NHS Gloucestershire ICB to develop a series of training and coaching support sessions to enable team members within VCSE sector groups/organisations to be able to have these conversations more effectively.

We're delighted to announce that our Go Volunteer Glos Manager, Emma Snell, will be joining Cotswolds Women as a panel member on Cotswolds Radio this Spring.

Hosted by Annabelle Belcher, Cotswolds Women is broadcast every Friday at 12 pm and predominantly celebrates women in business and women who have achieved goals in their lives.
