We are recruiting trustees

The Gloucestershire Voluntary & Community Sector Alliance (VCS Alliance) is an independent charity seeking dedicated professionals to expand our team of high profile trustees. We are seeking several new trustees to grow our governance team and provide support to our growing organisation.

We encourage applications from anyone with an interest in supporting our work to represent, inform and support the diverse and critical activity of Gloucestershire’s VCS. We are specifically seeking expertise in the following areas:

  • experience of chairing, leading governance and supporting a CEO – with a view that you would become the chair in the future
  • operating in a business environment at a senior level, including Chairing governing bodies
  • legal and HR good governance
  • managing relations with the Private Sector
  • strategic marketing and communications
  • financial governance

The VCS Alliance works in partnership with the public and private sectors to promote what the Voluntary and Community Sector achieves.  The VCS Alliance ensures key communication channels are maintained between those sectors and have recently commenced delivery of an exciting 3 year Engagement Strategy supported by both Gloucestershire County Council and the Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group.

We want people who share our vision and belief in maximising the potential of the VCS across Gloucestershire and making a lasting difference to those delivering support that enhances communities.
