VCS Safer Cyber session on 15 November

The VSC Alliance has been considering how we can support the sector to be more secure online – whether understanding IT infrastructure, having confidence in training people or concern about malware. By working together we can share knowledge and information more easily.  We plan to hold quarterly Safer Cyber sessions to look at such issues collectively and learn from some of the county’s leading experts.

The first of these will be at the Growth Hub, Gloucester from 2-4 pm on 15 November, during which we will be looking at social media and phishing scams. Ian Maxted, police lead for the OPCC Safer Cyber priority, will be presenting on these subjects which will include quite a lot of interaction and some fun, always remembering the serious nature. There will also be a chance to network, share concerns and ask questions.  Book your place, on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/safer-cyber-event-tickets-38583121154.

We would welcome your input on how to proceed with these sessions, particularly around what format and themes you would find beneficial.  Please contact Sheryl Walpole on sheryl.walpole@glosvcsalliance.org.uk with your thoughts.
