Queens Award for Voluntary Service open for applications

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK. It recognises the great work charitable organisations do in the community.  Kingfisher Treasure Seekers, The Door Youth Project, Friends of Pittville were all winners from Gloucestershire this year.

Nominations can be made by anyone, including people who benefit from the group’s activities, but not from its volunteers or paid staff members. Find out how to make a nomination at https://www.gov.uk/queens-award-for-voluntary-service.

Applications must be made by midnight on 15 September 2017 for consideration for the 2018 awards.
