Gloucestershire Recycling Centre Re-use Shops Information Day

Gloucestershire County Council’s Joint Waste Team is holding an information day for an imminent pilot contract to operate two Household Recycling Centre (HRC) Re-use Shops at Fosse Cross (Cirencester) and Oak Quarry (Coleford).

The opportunity for a charity, third sector organisation, social enterprise or commercial re-use organisation to derive value from goods too-good-to-tip is in line with national best practice on the development of re-use retail outlets at HRCs – otherwise known as Civic Amenity sites.

With some established recycling centre re-use shops in other waste authority areas turning over more than £250,000 a year, we hope to see keen interest in Gloucestershire’s emerging HRC re-use shops network from prospective operators.

The information event will be held at The Council Chamber, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG on 10 January 2020 from 11am-12.30pm.
