FestivALL 2020

FestivALL, runs throughout July, is coordinated by Barnwood Trust, Active Impact and Write Up Your Street, and supported by organisations across Gloucestershire. FestivALL is a month dedicated to celebrating the diverse and welcoming communities in Gloucestershire.

FestivALL 2020 is all about linking up, celebrating and building connections, on and offline, and making sure that everyone is included in some way.

During the Covid-19 pandemic people have been finding different and creative ways of keeping in touch with friends, family and neighbours and we want to celebrate this.

We are asking people across Gloucestershire to make their own paper chains, and either display them in a window for their friends and neighbours to see, or share a picture online (or both!)

We think that a paper chain is a great representation of how people have come together and linked up with friends, old and new, during these unprecendented times.

How to join:

  • Make a chain out of paper, wool, fabric, anything lying around the house. Or visit http://www.festivall.org to download a chain to make or decorate.
  • Display your chain in your window or post on the FestivALL Facebook page.
  • Help someone else make a chain by providing materials or arrange a video call to make yours with friends.

You can join online

  • Enter a competition – send a picture of your completed chain, telling us what it represents for you and ou will be entered in a draw to win a prize hamper.
  • Join online on the FestivALL Facebook page where you will find a digital chain showcasing people and organisations that are inclusive and help people stay connected.

Download the starter pack here. It includes all the information you need to get involved.
