Funding Opportunities Bulletin

The Gloucestershire Alliance produces the Funding Opportunities Bulletin on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.

The bulletin provides information on key funding opportunities available in Gloucestershire. This list is not exhaustive and is updated regularly. You can see the latest version here.

Please let us know if you are successful in receiving funding because of something you have seen listed in the bulletin.  This is important in helping us monitor how effectiveness the bulletin is – thank you. You can email us

If you would like to receive an email alert when a new funding bulletin is available, please email the Alliance at  This service is only available for organisations that are based in and operate in Gloucestershire.

Gloucestershire County Council Youth Activity Fund

Purpose: Gloucestershire County Council has funding available to invest in community activities for children and young people 8-18 years old. We are particularly interested in local solutions that achieve positive outcomes for our most vulnerable children and young people who may be in challenging circumstances; living with learning difficulties or disabilities/complex needs or living in care or care leavers. The funding can be used to support projects for young people aged 8-18 and may relate to art, drama, sports, cookery, wildlife for example.

Who can apply: Community or Voluntary Groups, Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies, Sports Groups and Associations, Schools and Academies for out of school activities, After-School Clubs, Religious groups where the application demonstrates wider community benefit and the primary purpose is not religious.

Funding: There is no lower limit for funding but the maximum budget for each council district is £10,000. Each Councillor has been allocated £1,000 to distribute in their area. Councillors can combine their funding if they wish to fund a more expensive project that will have wider benefit.  Alternatively Councillors can fund a number of smaller projects from their allocation.

Deadline: Applications will be accepted until all the money has been allocated. Decisions will be made on a first come, first served basis. No applications will be accepted after 27 December 2019. This funding must be used by 31 March 2020.
