Charity Governance Code guide for micro charities

NCVO (The National Council for Voluntary Organisations) has produced a guide on applying the principles of the Charity Governance Code, specially adapted for the smallest organisations.

The Charity Governance Code comes in two versions for larger and smaller charities falling above and below a £1m a year income.

NCVO has produced guidance for small and micro organisations with no staff and incomes less than £100,000. Their members had told them that although the smaller charities version of the code’s principles apply to them, the recommended practice often requires adaption.

The NCVO guidance takes principles, key outcomes and legal and regulatory context direct from the Code and has tailored the rest of the toolkit to the specific needs of micro voluntary organisations. Download the guidance tool.
